TAKEDOWN CLUB GOLF TOURNAMENT:
The 8th Annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Macoby Run Golf Course. This year we are anticipating a large turnout, as we have a great new caterer -- Tommy Gunns Barbecue (check out www.tommygunns.net for an entire menu and rave reviews!) -- and a buffet dinner after the 18th hole for all those wrestling widows who have suffered with being golf-widows for a day.
We are still looking for Hole Sponsors -- if you want to sponsor a hole, or know of a local business who would want to sponser the UPTC, click here for the form.
If you have a foursome, click here .... cash prizes, golf at a championship golf couse, a great dinner and a night out without the kids.... it's a perfect August Day!!

UPPER PERKIOMEN HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING:
Head Coach: Tom Hontz, 18th season (234-115-1 career record). Last Year's Record: 2-6 in the PAC-10, 3-24 overall. Wrestlers to Watch: Sophomores Marty McStravick (112-119), David Irwin (112-119), Nick Edmunson (171), and Nick Hale (189); juniors Garrett Fellman (125), Mike McStravick (130-135) and Jared Bennett (285); and senior Hoyt Emmons (152). Notes: String of PAC-10 titles was halted at nine when Indians forfeited most of their matches because of an ineligible wrestler. ... Graduated four wrestlers with more than 40 wins last season, including two-time state champion and four-time state medalist Zack Kemmerer (199-18), and one-time state champion and three-time state medalist Chris Sheetz (189-23). ... "We're very young," said Hontz. "We're probably looking at starting upwards of eight freshmen and sophomores this year, with only two seniors. There's probably going to be a tot of growing pains this year, but nobody's going to feel sorry for us. We'll just work hard and see what we can do."
